Lavant Road

The road through Lavant village, forming part of the A286 route between Chichester and Midhurst. The road carries through-traffic that passes the Earl of March pub, the village shop and St Nicholas Church. During Goodwood events, the road experiences heavy traffic as visitors approach the estate from the north. The River Lavant runs alongside part of the road, and flooding has affected properties on the lower-lying sections during wet winters.
