The road leading to the village of East Dean, located in a secluded downland valley to the west of the Goodwood estate. East Dean is home to the Star and Garter pub and is surrounded by some of the finest walking country in West Sussex. The road descends from the A286 into the valley, and the village has a remote, timeless quality.
