Goodwood Aerodrome
A historic wartime airfield now serving general aviation with Spitfire flights and flying experiences
Goodwood Aerodrome occupies the flying field of the former RAF Westhampnett, adjacent to the motor circuit. The aerodrome has two grass runways and operates as a general aviation airfield, hosting private flying, flying training, pleasure flights and the celebrated Spitfire flight experiences. During the Revival, the aerodrome hosts the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation Concours, displaying historic aircraft alongside vintage motor cars. The aerodrome's Battle of Britain heritage is commemorated through its connection to 145 Squadron and 602 Squadron, which flew from Westhampnett during 1940 and 1941. The airfield is open to visiting aircraft by prior permission and offers fuel, parking and basic ground facilities.
